Adding on makeup (& hair) to your headshot or branding session

I offer professional makeup (and hair for classic & premier sessions) as an add-on to your session. My stylists are talented and awesome at listening and giving people a look they are comfortable with.

Why it’s worth it

When you’re investing in professional headshots or branding session, you want images that make you look confident, approachable, and polished. It’s one of the easiest ways to elevate your photos.

The camera and lighting can “wash out” your color and features. A professional stylist knows how to do your makeup so your best features stand out and you look fresh.

There’s something about sitting in the chair, being pampered, and seeing yourself camera-ready that instantly boosts confidence. That confidence shows up in your photos!

It’s my personal opinion that an experienced makeup artist is well worth it and does make a difference in the images. I recommend adding on makeup for most people. Adding on hair depends on the person, how comfortable they are doing their own hair and the style they prefer.

What to know

Wearing a button down shirt or zip up hoodie to begin with can make it easy to change without messing anything up.

If you’re having your hair and makeup done on location, setting up in a spot by a large window or glass door with an outlet nearby works best for your stylist.

Please let your stylist know if you have any makeup/product allergies or sensitivities.

The most important thing to remember is to be honest with your stylist! They are there to make sure you love your look and look your best so don’t hold back with feedback!
